Shanghai - Day 2
Last night I went to sleep around 8:30pm. I think that is pretty good for the first day considering I didn’t sleep too much on the plane. Today I went to my aunt’s hospital, and she was crowded with the elderly! The hospital environment in China is really strange. It is almost too efficient and cold to me. The doctors are in cubicles, and there is a single-file line to see the doctor. I don’t know if it is just me, but I think there are so many more elderly people in China than there is in the U.S. They are also really aggressive. I remember being pushed down by one on a flight to Beijing. They’ve got SPUNK.
I saw Fuxing Park for the first time today. It is gorgeous and so cute! There are people ballroom dancing, doing tai chi, and playing Chinese chess. I love the environment! Shanghai is most definitely not the Shanghai I knew 9 years ago. Except the spitting and snotting is most definitely the same.
