Day 22 - Huai Hai Lu, Shanghai
This morning looking for change from my usual morning visit to 85 Degrees Bakery, I discovered an old childhood breakfast treat! Sticky rice ball that you constantly mold with your own two hands to make sure that the rice is on the exterior and the taste is in the core. It wasn’t as good as my mom’s, but it was fun to find it on the street. Spiced things up for a change.
Weijia and I met up on Huai Hai Lu to finally get our shopping on at H&M and Zara, but we didn’t get anything. Conclusion: Shanghai H&M caters to Shanghai style and fashion, which is quite the same as ours. Boo. So we went to dinner at a really cute Taiwanese cafe called RBT. Super cute interior with swings and tasty drinks. Retirement plan: design a cute cafe/bakery.
