CSP10 - Entry 01 - Hong Kong Don’t judge a book by its cover. Why not? In high school, you did it. Black hair - Asian - Nerd. But what happens when you are in a group of 200 Chinese students? We have already been narrowed down to our Chinese roots. How do we distinguish ourselves among the sea of black hair? Turns out, you categorize them based on where they are from. And usually, if you look at your peer, you can probably guess where he or she is from. Mainland China What makes us look inherently different even though we are all Chinese? Or is it the way we choose to look? The clothes that we wear? The way we talk? The people we talk to? I had about a 95% success rate on the first day. The only person I couldn’t get was a guy from the UK. I just had to wait till he started talking.
